Bylaws Committee – Charged with reviewing the existing bylaws; writing and recommending amendments to the board. Judy Howe is our current head of Bylaws Committee

Education & Youth Committee – Tasked with identifying the educational needs of VAOBA members. Once identified, the scheduling and planning of seminars, workshops and events. We are looking for volunteers to build on our youth and education programs for the future shows and workshops

Fiber Committee – To work enthusiastically as a force in all possible forums for education and awareness of, and creativity with, alpaca fiber and fiber products, promoting the many varied uses and beneficial characteristics of our industry’s wonderful annual harvest. 

Nomination & Election - The Board of Directors and President shall provide for the appointment of Members of the Association, none of whom shall be a Director, except for a Director that is not running for re-election,to constitute a Nomination Committee. The Nomination Committee shall actively recruit and nominate candidates for election as Directors and Officers for the ensuing terms. 

Membership & Communications - Tasked with developing and instituting protocols for welcoming new members and establishing lines of communication. Donna Higgason, Barb Gies & Susane Marsh are our current members working on this

Show Committee - With the VAOBA Expo Manager as chair assist in the organization and planning of the show. Patty Fuller, Donna Higgason, Judy Howe, John Roppel & Donna Atkins are our current show committee.
